Course Description

Design and Visual Communication/Graphics is an exciting and creative subject that allows students to communicate inventive ideas and unlock inspiration through the design process. This subject is designed to introduce students to design as a vocation and to develop their skills as designers.
Students will focus on understanding and applying drawing techniques and design practice to communicate design ideas in response to a brief. This subject will also develop abilities in ‘problem solving’, as students will research information, sketch out ideas, present solutions and evaluate specific design problems. Students will apply 2D and 3D visual communication techniques such as sketching, rendering, technical drawing, mock-ups, digital drawing, CAD, and modelling.
