Foundation Skills - Literacy
Level 1 Literacy is designed for students who would benefit from work which will grow their reading and writing skills for success at the new Literacy Common Assessment Activity. This assessment is for students to gain the Literacy co-requisite for passing NCEA.
Along with preparing for the co-requisite Literacy, students will do Unit Standards to gain other Level 1 credits. The standards selected for these credits are focussed on the theme of “Work and Study” which covers many useful issues relating to gaining employment and being successful in employment.
This course is designed for students that need additional support in Literacy.
