Level 3 Mathematics - (Mat 301)

This course is seen as a programme of study that gives a base on which students gain insight into Mathematics and Statistics at a level beyond Year 12. It is designed to cover a mix of both mathematical and statistical concepts. Students will study and use the techniques of linear programming, simultaneous equations in three-dimensions and critical path analysis to solve contextual problems. They will also study statistical applications relating to probability and probability distributions. It is designed to be of assistance to students who wish to study some form of Social Sciences at a tertiary level or who need these skills for their future employment.
