Course Description

NCEA Level 2 English will explore some big ideas in literature and language.  If you want to continue with senior English beyond Level 1, you will gain valuable skills for your future - communication and critical thinking are the crux of this course. You will be exposed to a range of texts and genres, develop a writing portfolio and enhance your creativity. Classroom teachers will delve into the oral presentation and connections across text assessments as internals. Students may self-select other optional standards if necessary. A crafted portfolio of writing is developed over the course of the year. If you aren't sure what your future holds, English will equip you will the necessary skills for any future career or pathway.
