Level 1 Visual Art
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Miss K. Miller.
Level 1 Art 11ART
The NCEA Level 1 Visual Art course is a hands on, practical course. We will develop a range of skills across the year, from observational drawing, perspective drawing, drypoint and lino cut printmaking, and various painting techniques. We will aim to produce a body of work with two internal standards, that will be our starting point for developing a 5 credit external portfolio of work. There will be a written workbook component, alongside practical art making.
If you are interested in digital art or photography and have equipment to support this of your own (e.g a tablet), this can also be integrated into your work, as well multi media approaches such as collage and layering.
Note: N.C.E.A. Level 1 Art is an integrated full year's course of study.
