Course Description

Have you ever wondered what happens to food once it enters your body?  If so, come and join us in the science and food labs in a journey of discovery. In this module we will be looking at the science of digestion and how our body uses nutrients to fuel our body.  You will set up science investigations to explore and make sense of different nutrients and their energy value. You will spend time in the food lab creating safe food and developing your kitchen skills.  You will research common food intolerance and allergies to design, prepare and cook a two course meal for a person that suffers from these.
