This course provides an opportunity for students to gain NCEA Level 1 numeracy and is highly recommended. The programme of study covers number, measurement, geometry, statistics and algebra in a contextual setting. It gives a sound base for students studying Social Sciences, as well as Sciences and technological subjects. Students will take an in-depth look at numerical reasoning, graphing and interpreting data, analysing data sets, and forming and using algebraic expressions. This course forms an essential base for NCEA Level 2 Mathematics courses.
