Recommended Prior LearningIt is recommended that students have done ether wood or engineering in years 11 or 12 but not essential. As long as the student has an inkling towards practical work can follow instructions and is a hard worker willing to learn.
Level 3 Engineering 13HMM
Engineering is a practical course that allows students to gain competence in advanced engineering skills and knowledge. The skills include the use of hand tools, power tools. lathe and milling machining, welding, and fabrication. Technical Drawing and computer aided drawing (CAD) using the laser cutter.
One main project idea is the designing and construction of a grass kart frame working as a team.
The second possible project idea is to build individually an autonomous controlled combat robot.

Planning the year's work, depending on what project is undertaken.
