Course Description

The semester 1 course is designed to take full advantage of the school facilities. Students will grow plants from seed, maintain a small garden and learn the correct use of garden tools. They will also be introduced to range of agricultural and horticultural primary production in New Zealand and be introduced to landscape gardening and design. If you do not like getting your hands dirty, you will not enjoy this course, as we will aim to spend a minimum of one period a week in the garden.
