Level 3 English Creative

ENCR31
Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Miss T. Palmer

This Level 3 English option will offer University Entrance in a slightly different format to conventional Level 3 English. It will explore critical thinking and philosophical theory through the creative design process. Moving beyond traditional text study, students will build 21st Century language skills and develop a portfolio of work allowing them to understand purposeful outcomes and audiences. The emphasis will be on developing written, visual and oral text to a quality outcome with real world application. A selection of standards are available and will be offered on a best fit, individual basis in consultation with the teacher. There is also potential to "double dip" with other standards and subjects. Level 2 students who are interested in extension can choose this option. You should discuss it first with Miss Palmer. For Merit/Excellence course endorsement, it would be necessary to sit an external exam.
